Simone Bianchi was born and lives in Lucca. After working for the European market for several years, he drew a DC Comics limited series, titled "Shining Knight". He then produced a lot of covers for DC series, such as "Green Lantern", "Batman, and "Detective Comics", as well as the entire issue #6 of "Green Lantern".
From 2006 he's been working exclusively for Marvel, on “Wolverine”, “Astonishing X-Men”, “Thor: For Asgard”, “Uncanny X-Force”, “Thanos Rising”, “New Avengers”, “Thor and Loki: The Tenth Realm” series. For Marvel, he also worked on the new design of the X-Men official costumes.
His wordls have been on display at the Galérie du 9eme Art in Paris, at the Chuck Jones Gallery in San Diego, California, at the Museo d’Arte contemporanea in Perugia, at the Cart Gallery in the city centre of Rome, and at the Danese/Corey Gallery in New York.
Marvel Masterpieces is an exhibition of the Marvel superheroes originals that the artist has designed for the prestigious The Upperdeck Company, the exibition organised by Lucca and the Metropolis Gallery in New York.
