Events are subject to additions or variations until a few days before the festival. We will publish the events' details as soon as we schedule them, to help you in your choice. For example: as soon as we schedule date and time of any event, concert, or tournament, we will publish them on our website.
When will the ticket booths in Lucca be open?
Ticket booths will be open from Wednesday, 31 October, to Sunday, 4 November, every day from 8.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.
FIXED LIMIT OF 80.000 TICKETS PER DAY
What do you exactly mean by “fixed limit”?
For each of the 5 days, we have fixed a limit of 80.000 (paying) visitors, including both daily tickets and badges.
The number of 80.000 includes tickets sold online, tickets sold at the official pre-sale points (see below), and tickets sold at the tickets booths in Lucca, should any tickets still be available.
How do I know if you already reached the fixed limit of 80.000 tickets per day, and for which day(s)?
As soon as the pre-sale begins, on 6 August 2018, 3 p.m., you will be able to know the constantly updated number of tickets still available for each day on our website. That will be the only official information source about the number of tickets still available. You will also be able to have this information in every ticket booth in Lucca, until the end of the festival.
Do the fixed limit of 80.000 tickets per day include the badges?
Yes.
Do the fixed limit of 80.000 tickets per day include the tickets and/or the badges sold at the official pre-sale points (see below)?

No, it includes only tickets and badges sold to visitors.
Can I purchase “open” tickets and/or badges?
No, tickets and/or badges will be linked to the selected days.
Do the pre-sale charges differ from one kind of ticket/badge to the other?
No, pre-sale charges amount to €1,50, regardless of the price payed for the ticket (whether it is a daily ticket or a badge).
HOW TO PURCHASE (ONLINE OR OFFLINE)
Is it mandatory to purchase my ticket and/or badges online or at a Vivaticket pre-sale point, or I can also purchase them at a ticket booth in Lucca?
We suggest purchasing tickets online or at a Vivaticket pre-sale point, but it is not mandatory.
However, if the fixed limit of 80.000 tickets per day is reached before the festival begins, you will not be able to purchase any more ticket and/or badge at any ticket booth in Lucca for that day(s).
What kind of badges will be available?

Are daily tickets and/or badges personal?
No.
Are there any official pre-sale points in Lucca and/or in other cities, where I can purchase (also by cash) my tickets and/or badges before the festival, like I did last year?
Yes. You can purchase tickets and/or badges through Vivaticket, where the same conditions for "Print@Home" shall apply until 5 November (see questions below).
At most of their pre-sale points you can purchase your ticket paying both by cash or by POS (debit card), but we suggest to make sure of that, calling the pre-sale point of your choice in advance.
Are the same options of last year available?
Yes. You can choose among "Print@home", "Skip the line" and "Catch the shuttle bus" options.
"Print@Home"
· Choose one day or the badge you want;
· You will receive it right away via email, without shipping costs;
· You just need to print it and take it with you in Lucca the day you chose;
· Show it at your assigned Welcome Desk;
· Take your bracelet and enter the pavilions;
· If your Print@Home is a badge, you'll take all the bracelets you'll need at once at the Welcome Desk;
· You can purchase it until 4 November 2018, 3p.m., provided that the fixed limit of 80.000 tickets has not been reached for the day(s) of your choice.
"Skip the line"
· Choose one day or the badge you want;
· You will receive your ticket(s) or badge and your bracelet(s) directly at home from 1 October;

“Catch the shuttle bus”
· Choose one day or the badge you want;
· You will receive right away via email the voucher you'll need to show to the driver when you'll get on the bus;

· Once you're on the bus, you will get your ticket(s) or badge and your bracelet(s);
· You will easily reach Lucca and you will be able to enter the pavilions right away, without passing through the Welcome Desk;
· You can purchase it until 15 October 2018, 11 p.m.
In addition, we are arranging even more "trip+ticket" or "trip+ticket+hotel" options throughout the Country. Check out the link.
Can I track the shipment of tickets and/or badges I purchased with the “Skip the line” option? What can I do, if I leave for Lucca before my shipment arrives? Do you ship internationally?
When you purchase your ticket, you should receive an email confirming that your purchase has been successfully completed. Tickets/badges and bracelets shipments will start on 1 October. If you do not receive your shipment before leaving for Lucca, you should print your confirmation email, show it to our staff in any ticket booth during Lucca Comics & Games (so that you'll still skip the line), and let them check it out.
Vivaticket ships internationally.
What kind of tickets can I purchase at Vivaticket pre-sale points?
You can purchase only “Print@home” tickets under the same conditions above stated, until 4 November, 3 p.m. In practice: it is an online purchase of a Print@Home ticket, but made through the operator of the Vivaticket pre-sale point. In most of them you can purchase your ticket paying both by cash or by POS (debit card), but we suggest to make sure of that, calling the pre-sale point of your choice in advance.
I couldn't purchase Skip the line daily tickets or badges online by 15 October 2018, 11 p.m. May I purchase them later at an official pre-sale point?

The Skip the line daily tickets or badges purchased at the Premium Vivaticket Points (see the list above) have the same price of the Skip the line daily tickets or badges purchased online?
No, the Skip the line daily tickets or badges purchased at the Premium Vivaticket Points from 15 October to 4 November will cost €3,00 more, to be added to the pre-sale charge of €1,50 for each ticket or badge. You need to pay €3,00 more per purchase, not per ticket, up to max. 15 tickets or badges: i.e., if you purchase 5 daily tickets at once, you have to pay (in addition to the pre-sale aforementioned charges) €3,00, not €15,00.
If I choose the "Catch the shuttle bus" option, is it mandatory to purchase a ticket and/or a badge?
Yes, it is mandatory to purchase a ticket and/or a badge, if you choose the "Catch the shuttle bus" option.
If I purchase a badge for two or more days with the "Catch the shuttle bus" option can I take the shuttle bus going to Lucca on one day and the shuttle bus leaving Lucca on another one?
You will purchase a round-trip ticket for each day, whether you have a daily ticket or a badge. So, for example, if you purchase a daily ticket, you arrive in the morning and leave in the evening; if you purchase a 2 days badge, you arrive every morning and leave every evening.

Are there any discounts if I purchase the ticket in Lucca?
Yes, but only in specific days (see the Price Table) for:
· CartaPiù and MultiPiù Feltrinelli card holders;
· other discounts available if you purchase the tickets in an official selling point will be announced in this page in the next few days.
If I don't have a credit card, how can I purchase a ticket and/or badge online?
You can purchase online also by stored-value card (i.e.: PostePay) or through MyBank. You cannot purchase your ticket using PayPal. As soon as any other paying method will be available, we will update this page. We suggest you to check it frequently.
Can I pay in cash at the ticket booths in Lucca to purchase tickets and/or badges?
Yes, provided that the fixed limit of 80.000 tickets has not been reached for the day(s) of your choice.
I didn't receive the email with my Print@Home tickets to print. Why?
Sometimes such emails get blocked, so the first thing you want to do is check your Junk mail folder. If it got blocked by your mail provider, you can download your invoice and the related Print@Home purchase through your My Vivaticket account on the website.
I can't log in with the email address I used last year. Why?
Your access credentials should have remained the same. Should you have any login problems, follow the "Forgot your Password?" link in the login page. Should you still have problems, you can open a ticket through luccacomicsandgames.vivaticket.it/ita/assistenza
When I choose to pay with PostePay, after clicking on “Purchase” the website declines the transaction. Why?
Your transaction could be declined for several reasons (low credit, disabled 3d secure, temporary gateway error, typos, etc.).
The transaction is processed on the SETEFI portal, not on Vivaticket, but you can ask Vivaticket to check it by communicating your transaction details through luccacomicsandgames.vivaticket.it/ita/assistenza.
LINES, TICKETS AND BRACELETS
Do I still have to stand in line, even if I purchase online my ticket and/or badge?
Yes, but only at the Welcome Desk and only once, whether you have a daily ticket or a badge, because you will get all the bracelets you need at once.
If you choose the "Skip the line" or the "Catch the shuttle bus" option, you don't need to stand in line.
If I purchase my ticket and/or my badge online, do I receive also my bracelet at home?
Yes, but only if you purchase your ticket and/o badge with the "Skip the line" option, paying €5,00 of shipping charges.
If I purchase two or more tickets/badges with the "Skip the line" option and I request to receive them in just one shipment, do I have to pay an extra charge of €5,00 for each ticket/badge?
No. You need to pay an extra charge of €5,00 for each shipment, not for each ticket/badge. Each shipment can contain a maximum of 15 tickets, whether they are daily tickets or badges.
Can I walk freely with no need for passes or special permits, if I choose not to purchase a ticket or if I live within Lucca City Centre?
Yes. At the moment, people, both residents and non-residents, can walk freely throughout the City Center with no limitation. Therefore, you don't need a pass or a special permit.
Can I modify or cancel the ticket I purchased online, if I need to? If so, by when? Do I need to pay a fee to change the day of my ticket? How much will you reimburse me, if I cancel my ticket?
You cannot change the date of your ticket.
But you can claim for a reimbursement (except for the pre-sale charge) by 13 October 2018, calling Best Union's Call Center: 041.2719009. You will be given all the information you need for the procedure.
Children born after 1 January 2009
Children born after 1 January 2009 can enter for free. They don't need any ticket or bracelet, but they can enter the festival areas only on condition that they are accompanied by an adult.
Are there free entrance tickets for disabled visitors? If so, how can I get one? For what types of disabilities is the free entrance ticket planned? Do I need to have a certificate? Will any specially accessible ingress be available?
Disabled visitors can enter any pavilion and any area open to the public for free every day. They need to request their free ticket at any selling or service points, showing their certificate. They need to request their free ticket at the aforementioned points every single day they want to enter the areas of the convention. Their companion (one) have the right to purchase a reduced ticket (see Price Table); they can purchase their reduced ticket while requesting the free one.
Both disabled visitors and their companion remain subject to the general safety measures for the entire duration of the festival, as any other visitor is (e.g., places still available in a cinema; reaching the maximum capacity of a pavilion). Therefore we suggest, as to any visitor, to take into account the possibility of standing in line or of a great turn-out at some places or events.
Easy Gates will be granted and clearly indicated.
In most of the pavilions and areas of the festival, entrances dedicated to disabled visitors and pregnant women will be available, and our staff will do their best to facilitate their entry. Even at these entrances, you need to show your ticket to enter, even if it is a free ticket.
What is to be considered a “group” and how can I purchase tickets with this option?
A "group" is a company of at least 20 people, with a designed leader who is in charge of the online purchase.
You can only purchase tickets with the "group" option online or in the official Vivaticket pre-sale points (see above) with the “Print@Home” option (see above). That is: the leader purchases tickets for the entire group and receives an email with all the tickets that he needs to print and show at the reserved windows in the ticket booths in Lucca, from 29 October to 1 November 2015. There he will get bracelets for everyone, skipping the line.
You can purchase tickets with this option until 15 October 2018, 11 p.m.
You cannot buy badges with the "group" option.
If I purchase a Print@Home badge for more than one day, do I have to go and get the bracelet at the ticket booth every day I need it?
No, you need to go only once at the Welcome Desk to get all the bracelets you're entitled to have with your badge.
