Barbara baldi

 

Barbara Baldi was born in Pavia in 1976 and graduated from Milan Disney Academy in 2000. In 2001 she worked as a colourist for comics and books that have been published in Italy, America, and France, such as "Sky Doll" (Soleil), “Monster Allergy” (Walt Disney Italia) and “Will” by Guillaume Bianco (Soleil).

From 2003 she has been the illustrator of the children's book series “Fairy Oak” by Elisabetta Gnone (DeAgostini). She has worked as colour key artist for “Winx 2”, the movie, by Rainbow CGI, and as an illustrator and colourist for several publishing houses, such as Pixar, Disney, Marvel, Eli Edizioni, DeAgostini, Piemme, Il Battello a vapore, Tunué, Les Humanoïdes Associés, Einaudi, Mondadori, Glénat Québeq, Norma Editorial, Ici Même Editions and Oblomov Edizioni.

“Lucenera” is her first graphic novel, published by Oblomov Edizioni in November 2017. “Ada” is her second graphic novel, published by Oblomov Edizioni in November 2018. She has won the Micheluzzi Award as Best Artist at 2018’s Napoli Comicon, the Gran Guinigi Award as "Best Artist" at Lucca Comics & Games 2018 and she has been nominated for 2019 Artémisia Award. She is the author of 2019’s Lucca Comics & Games official poster.

Barbara Baldi will be a Lucca Comics & Games guest in collaboration with Oblomov.
