Jesse Jacobs is considered the most important exponent of the “Canadian alternative new wave”, he won prestigious prizes in America and he mainly works for Koyama Press, Eris Edizioni and Hollow Press.
Some of his works have been published on “Best American Comics”, “Mad Magazine”, “The New York Times”, “Le Monde Diplomatique”, “Pitchfork Review” and he worked on “Adventure Time” for Cartoon Network. His comics have been translated in many languages and their Italian editions are curated by Eris Edizioni.
Lucca Comics & Games and Toronto Comic Arts Festival, in collaboration with Hollow Press, will host Jesse Jacobs at the festival, where his new comics “Baby in the Boneyard” (Hollow Press) will be premiered. The author will hold signing sessions for Hollow Press, Eris Edizioni and Take Gallery.
Jesse's attendance at the festival is due to an initiative between Lucca Comics & Games and Toronto Comic Arts Festival, with the participation of Hollow Press as intermediary, which in 2020 will take an Italian author to the TCAF 2020.
