The 2019 European Cosplay Gathering, a European Cosplay Championship, will be at its 10th edition during Lucca Comics & Games 2019 – together with the main European festivals – collaborating with the Japan Expo in Paris to make the explosion of costumes and colours of cosplay a great international event. Lucca Comics & Games has hosted from the beginning the Italian selections for this one-of-a-kind event, culminating every summer in the finals at the Japan Expo in Paris.
For such an extraordinary event, Lucca Cosplay has always done its best, selecting every year a panel of exceptional judges in charge of electing the best Italian cosplayers. The Italian Cosplayer community deeply respect this competition: the challenge with other European cosplayers is real and demanding, but also fair and clean.
To thank everybody for having represented the Italian Cosplay community and to celebrate the 10th ECG, this year Lucca Cosplay will stage all the cosplayers that have been selected in the past years, proving how Cosplay can break borders.
Moreover, alongside the 10th year celebration, as always and in collaboration with Japan Expo, a panel of judges will select the best Italian cosplayers for the next European Cosplay Gathering, which will take place in Paris at the beginning of July 2020.
