Adrian Smith

Adrian Smith is one of the most famous and important contemporary fantasy illustrators. His career kicked off at Games Workshop with “Warhammer 40.000”, at the end of the 80s. Over the years, he painted several cards of  “Magic: The Gathering”  for Wizard of the Coast, as well as working on countless covers for books and magazines. 

As a concept artist he has also worked for many renowned software houses, such as EA Mythic, THQ, Vivendi and Ubisoft. He wrote and drew  “Chronicles of HATE” for the Image Comics and  illustrated “Eastania/Westania”, a trilogy written by Hyung Min-woo.

He has worked on the boardgame inspired by Conan for Monolith and tightened a successful and solid collaboration with CMON, for whom he illustrated, among the many, “Blood Rage”, “Zombicide”, “The Others - Seven Sins”, “Rising Sun”, “HATE” and “Cthulhu: Death May Die”.

Lucca Comics & Games 2019 will celebrate Adrian Smith with a dedicated exhibition in Palazzo Arnolfini, with a wide selection of his most important works.

Adrian Smith will be guest at Lucca Comics & Games in collaboration with CMON.
