Lorenzo Mattotti, winner of the Premio Gran Guinigi 2017, comes back to Lucca Comics & Games 2019 to present his new work, the film “The Bears' Famous Invasion of Sicily”, which is already in the Un Certain Regard section of Cannes.
Thanks to Mattotti’s unique trademark, the characters of the unforgettable novel by Dino Buzzati (hence the name of the film) come alive: we follow the adventures of a bear who sets out on a quest to find his son and ends up facing many adversities and enemies, including humans.
The dubbing of “The Bears' Famous Invasion of Sicily” features the voices of Toni Servillo, Antonio Albanese, Corrado Guzzanti and Andrea Camilleri, in the role of the Old Bear.
Lorenzo Mattotti will present his film on Friday 1st November at 12:00 at Cinema Centrale (Lucca), as well as answering all questions from the audience, with Dario Moccia as moderator of the event. Furthermore, Moccia will moderate Lorenzo Mattotti’s masterclass, that will take place the same day at 6:00 p.m. in Sala Robinson Repubblica.
“The Bears' Famous Invasion of Sicily” will be released in theatres on November 7th. The film is directed by Lorenzo Mattotti and written in collaboration with Thomas Bidegain and Jean-luc Fromental. Moreover, the film is produced by Indigo Film, which released in theatres many big hits, among others “La Grande Bellezza” by Paolo Sorrentino.
