Many unconscious assumptions can be carried over into building a secondary Fantasy world and they have implications on theme and audience response, risking pitfalls if the author is unprepared to defend them.
The relationship between author and audience is changing, as mitigated (!) by online exchanges, interviews, blogs and reviews that now populate the creative ethosphere. This new relationship imposes responsibilities and liabilities for the published author, whether they like it or not.
Steven Erikson will note examples of assumptions common to many popular and successful Secondary World Fantasy settings, always bearing in mind that no particular agenda is at work and that no proscriptive list is being proposed; rather, the questions posed include: can you as author reasonably defend your choices, and to what extent will deconstructing those assumptions help prepare you in that defense.
Seminario a numero chiuso ed accesso gratuito, è necessaria l'iscrizione: ai partecipanti é richiesto unicamente l'acquisto del biglietto d'ingresso ai padiglioni per il giorno dell'incontro.
