Just a few debuts have been as stunning as Barbara Baldi’s. She had already been a well-known colourist and illustrator but, right after two graphic novels, she rose at an international level as an artist to look up to. She won the Gran Guinigi Award as Best Artist for "Lucenera" in 2018.
We will showcase her works in the outstanding location of Palazzo Ducale in Piazza Napoleone. Through this exhibition itinerary, visitors will discover Barbara Baldi's narrative in comics and her suggestive technique: a combination of a masterful use of colours and a strong composition style.
It will be a journey through the imagery of an artist with great expressive skills, who has also created the Lucca Comics & Games 2019 poster, which a section of the exhibition will be dedicated to.
