Thanks to his explosive creativity and amazing versatility, Donny Cates's been able to move between the independent and mainstream comic industries. Therefore, he’s established himself as one of the most innovative and interesting American comic books writer in a very short time. His works have been published by Image Comics, AfterShock Comics and Dark Horse, right up to Marvel. There, he's been working on some series and characters of the Marvel Universe that immediately got public attention.
At Lucca Comics & Games, saldaPress will premiere his “Ghost Fleet–The Whole Goddamned Thing”, a fast-paced graphic novel produced by ImageComics and drawn by Daniel Warren Johnson, a talented American author, whose style and storytelling brings together and in a brand-new way elements from manga and from the USA action-hero tradition.
Daniel Warren Johnson will also present “Murder Falcon”, his new project made for Skybound. A crazy and brilliant graphic novel featuring heavy metal electric guitars, giant kaiju monster, friendship, love and sense of life. Mixing together those elements, the result is a modern fairy tale, powerful and also deeply human. The presentation of “Ghost Fleet–The Whole Goddamned Thing” and “Murder Falcon” will be a unique opportunity for Italian and non-Italian fans to meet those two artists: there will be signing sessions at saldaPress booth, meetings organised by Lucca Comics & Games, showcases, and other events that will be announced in the next months.
