From October 30th to November 3rd, Lucca Comics & Games will host the painter and sculptor Stefan Pokorny, which will have its own place inside the Miniature Island, the area dedicated to miniatures in Pavilion Carducci.
One of the most sought-after artists and game masters of the domain, Pokorny is the main character of 3 documentaries: “The Dungeons & Dragons Experience” directed by Jesse Spiro, “Enter the Dungeon” by Richard DiNardo and “The Dwarvenaut” by Josh Bishop. Moreover, he has been invited to conventions and events in the USA and all over the world to master his theatrical sessions of “Dungeons & Dragons”.
Pokorny is the founder and president of Dwarven Forge, an enterprise that since 1996 has grown up to become the biggest and most successful miniature terrain company in the world: in the last few years it has invoiced for more than 15 million U.S. dollars thanks to seven Kickstarter campaigns.
Stefan Pokorny’s name in the role-playing game industry is indissolubly linked to the splendid dioramas he produces. Combining his artistic studies with his passion for “D&D”, Pokorny has created a series of settings which have made him famous. For example, the castles mountable thanks to a magnets system, which allows the players to literally open the construction and to look or move inside it, have been conceived by him.
At Lucca, Stefan Pokorny will host many painting workshops based on his own settings and role-playing game matches for whom he is famous and demanded in events such as Gen Con, Gary Con, DnD in a Castle and many more.
