In collaboration with Wizards of the Coast, Lucca Comics & Games will host Hollywood actor Joe Manganiello (who starred in “True Blood” and “How I Met Your Mother”), Scottish comedian Paul Foxcroft (“Cariad & Paul”and “Questing Time”), Richard Witther (“D&D” Senior Art Director), Bill Benham (“D&D” Game Producer), Mark Hulmes and Kim Richards (2 of the most important members of the UK “D&D” community, better known as High Rollers) and many more.
Thanks to this project carried out by Wizards of the Coast, the super-famous “Dungeons & Dragons” role-playing game will be held inside a real dungeon, i.e. the century-old San Colombano, and will become the embodiment of the authorial dream of Gary Gygax, father of “D&D”.
Moreover, Manganiello, Hulmes and Richards will play “Dungeons & Dragons” in real time for the first time in front of their fans. The event can be watched worldwide thanks to a live streaming on the Twitch DND channel, and donations during the live stream will be destined to the charity programs D&D Extra Life and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
Among the initiatives linked to “Dungeons & Dragons”, on 1st November at Lucca, there will be the greatest “D&D Epic” ever held in Europe: 180 players will join 30 Dungeon Masters for the biggest simultaneous playing of “D&D” in our continent (this event is booked out).
Furthermore, LC&G and Wizards will provide the opportunity to participate to a big interactive quest which will involve up to 10.000 participants inside Lucca. The mission, called “Devil Deals – Patti con il Diavolo”, will be set in the story of “D&D” 2019: “Baldur’s Gate: Descent into Avernus”. The challenge for the players is to cross the city sarà, to find out the hints and, finally, to defeat a devil to gain the final prize.
Every day the number of players of “Devil Deals – Patti con il Diavolo” will be limited and priority will be given to those who registered first (see the related link at the bottom of the page). For the winner, there will be exclusive “D&D” gadgets and the opportunity of taking part to the meet & greet with big exclusive names from the “D&D” world, such as Manganiello, Hulmes, Richards and all the guest stars.
